The debate over making evidence public

Some legal experts are wondering if the public’s right to know really outweighs individual rights. It used to be that when evidence related to court cases was made public, people had to actively seek it out. The information that is entered into the public record is now transmitted across the world in moments. While the right to know of the public is typically considered reason enough to release these items, some worry that it might be violating the rights of individuals who have served their time for their crimes. What do you think about this?
