Ride The Ducks suspended after Philadelphia collision

They may sound like a joke, but Ride The Ducks Tours are very serious business. A sludge barge collided with a Ride The Ducks amphibious tour vehicle. All Ride The Ducks tours are suspended when the event is under investigation.

Philadelphia Ride The Ducks accident

As outlined by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a Ride The Ducks boat had to shut down their engines, and was later rammed by the barge. The boat capsized when a sludge barge ran into the disabled boat. 35 of the 37 individuals were rescued, though a 16 year old woman and 20 year old man are nevertheless missing.

Philly Ride The Ducks accident under investigation

In Philadelphia, the National Transportation Safety Board has started investigating the accident. Depending on who is at fault for the accident, the NTSB may levy fines. Until the investigation is complete, the Ride The Ducks tours around the country have been shut down.
