Michael Grimm America's Got Talent victory proves underdogs still win

Followers may have to wait until next year as “America’s Got Talent” is over. The “America’s Got Talent” final four were a daunting group, packed with talent. There were 3 incredibly talented singers in Prince Poppycock, Jackie Evancho, and Michael Grimm, and Fighting Gravity, an amazing dance crew. Guest spots from some good entertainers rounded out the final episode, with Jewel, Lionel Ritchie, and Donna Summer making the final show a spectacle really worth watching. The favorite was Jackie Evancho, it seemed, as the ten year old has a Susan Boyle like voice impressed many. Michael Grimm stole the win, and few expected him to get the winning votes.

Finale worth watching

The finale for “America’s Got Talent” season five was a great thing to view. It almost always is. Two days before the finale was the last round of competition. Michael Grimm is kind of the singer/songwriter type, with a really bluesy tinge. Prince Poppycock sings a mélange of Lady Gaga, Kiss, and Paul Revere and also the Raiders in an operatic fashion, with elaborate staging and costumes. The power of the voice of Jackie Evancho belies her tiny size and scant ten years, and she’s been a preferred to triumph for weeks. Then there was Fighting Gravity, an unbelievably good dance group was the only non-singer act.

Grimm mood for the last show

The voting is just like “American Idol.” Also, viewers have to wait to view the results. Prince Poppycock got buzzed by Piers Morgan, according to CBS, during his performance. In fairness, Prince Poppycock has one act however has different songs. Evancho had the truth that she is only 10 years old on her side. That said, after so many ballads, individuals get bored. Variety is the spice of life, and Michael Grimm reaped the benefits of that in his winning “America’s Got Talent.” It was sort of a singer’s year. Grimm, as outlined by Individuals, plans to buy his grandparents a house.

Great duets

There were great invitee artists too. It certainly made the ending more entertaining. Donna Summer sang with Prince Poppycock, and Lionel Ritchie sang when Fighting Gravity performed. Grimm and Jewel had an amazing duet with “Me and Bobby McGee.” The finale episode was almost the best part of the entire season.
