The tour of optimism with TWLOHA

When you’re a friend of somebody facing a tough issue, it can sometimes feel like there is nothing that you are able to do. In looking for a method to help, one person created the To Write Love On Her Arms campaign. TWLOHA is a non-profit movement that aims to present hope for those struggling by informing, uplifting, and investing.

To Write Love On Her Arms could be able to help

In 2006, Jamie Tworkowski had a friend who was rejected from a treatment center for depression and drug addiction. A story had been written by Tworkowski to help. Her friend was only able to pay for treatment after selling the shirts that said, "To Write Love On Her Arms" for this. The act of writing "love" on their arms is something that many have started doing as the movement took off.

What TWLOHA wanted

TWOLHA is just a non-profit organization. It hopes to help people. In order to build on this, To Write Love On Her Arms founders and campus groups are holding tours, speaking events, conferences and sales of “To Write Love On Her Arms” products. Many who need help are reached by them as a result of their general decision to help those with suicide, depression, self-injury and addiction.

How you are able to make a difference with To Write Love On Her Arms

The TWLOHA non-profit offers a dozen different ways to help, beyond simply writing “love” on your arms. The TWLOHA site outlines how you are able to start your own benefit-fundraiser or join their “street team.”. SocialVibe, iGive.com, GoodSearch.com, CharityChoice, eBay Giving works, Cars 4 Causes and YourCause.com are all other websites affiliates. It likes to partner with other groups. In short, there are many, many ways to support To Write Love On Her Arms, but it all starts with the simple act of believing that yes, it can get better.
